Pipes & Scoops Wedding at The Bond.

When I did Laura and Jim’s pre wedding shoot in Birmingham a few weeks before they got married, I knew that their wedding at The Bond in Digbeth was going to be as ace and unique as the couple themselves. (Jim & Laura have nicknames for each other.. Pipes being Jims, as legend has it that he’s got quite a pair of lungs on him, and Scoops being Laura’s, although no one seems to really know why, folklore hints that it may be something to do with ice cream…..)

The morning started with Laura having her amazing vintage styling done at home with hair by Kathleen Steele and make up by Diana J Morton, while Jim was over at The Bond Company putting a few finishing touches to the venue. As you can see, Laura looked amazing in her gorgeous tea length dress and Jim looked equally as awesome in his tailored suit.

These guys and their friends were so much fun to be around. There was street food catering with everyone having to hand over their ticket to receive their meal and a vintage ice cream van from Classic Ices arriving on que ready for dessert. There was dancing outside in the early evening with a band playing a couple of sets, and in the break, one of the loveliest grooms speeches i’ve ever heard (lots of happy tears), before we headed out into the streets of Digbeth for some portraits.

Evening musical duties were taken care of by the suitably awesome Best Men and The Bond was the perfect place for everyone just to chill out and enjoy a waffle or two. Thanks for looking after me Pipes & Scoops, it was an absolute pleasure to be a part of your day…………
