Well… I think it’s fair to say that 2021 was a weird year..
Going into 2021, I wasn’t sure if it was going to be my quietest year yet, as postponements were still very much a thing and weddings as we knew them were still off the table. But despite lateral flow tests and face masks being added to the list of essential kit in my camera bag, it felt like the busiest ever.. Mostly because it was essentially two years worth of wedding in the space of seven months…
The year started off low key with a couple of elopements which included me being a witness and one which was so, so lovely, and when the wedding parties started, it was insane.. The energy from groups of people that hadn’t been able to hang out with each other for the best part of eighteen months was incredible, and it felt amazing to be back in the thick of it with my camera.. I’ve travelled a lot this year from right down on the Cornish coast, up to Ullapool in the Scottish Highlands, so quite literally from one end of the UK to the other and I’ve loved every minute of it..
Its been a crazy busy whirlwind of a year, and the nature of postponing a whole year of weddings from 2020 certainly brought its challenges.. So thank you to all of the couples that had me along for the ride, and especially those couples who had to move things around and worked with me when it came to re-arranging the jigsaw that was my calendar. Thanks also to my awesome wife who made sure that I was fed, watered and had clean pants and socks when I was in the midst of the craziest wedding season ever 😂 …
So, if you want to see what a wedding looks like after you haven’t been able to hang out with your mates and drink beer for a year and a half, hit play on the slideshow above, or scroll down if you want to see them at your own pace (or if the slideshow music will alert your boss that you are in fact looking at my website instead of working)…..
I’m impressed…. You made it all the way to the bottom, give yourself a high five….
Love love love 🙂
Dude, what a set! So vibrant and full of energy and life. I always love looking at your work!
Great work! All the best in 2022.
