2025… what a year…
I say it every year, but I genuinely love putting this post together. It’s the one moment where I get to stop, breathe, and look back through everything I’ve shot over the last twelve months… and honestly, 2025 was an absolute belter.
As always, it’s been a year of brilliant people, big parties, and me doing my best to blend in like a wedding guest… just with two cameras and questionable facial hair. I’ve been lucky enough to travel all over for weddings again – from the kind of venues that make you go “how is this real life?” to dancefloors that were basically feral in the best possible way.
Trying to cut this down is always really difficult. There are the obvious photos that have to go in… but there are loads in here that might not scream “highlight reel” at first glance. They’re in because they mean something to me – a look, a hug, a little moment you’d miss if you blinked. And that’s the stuff I love most about weddings.
I bang on about it all the time, but weddings are all about people… and I honestly think I get to hang out with the best of them. So thank you to every couple who invited me along this year and trusted me to tell the story properly – not just the pretty bits, but the funny bits, the emotional bits, and the full-on chaos in between.
And in amongst all of that, 2025 also came with a couple of very surreal little milestones… I was named the #2 wedding photographer in the UK by the Masters of Wedding Photography, and also made the Top 50 wedding photographers in the world with the WPJA. I’m still not totally sure how that happened, but I’m massively grateful – and if you’ve ever booked me, supported me, shared my work, or recommended me to a mate… you’ve played a part in that, so thank you.
And a massive shout to all the venues and suppliers I’ve worked alongside too – I’ve loved meeting loads of new faces, and it’s always a joy being back with the legends at places like 100 Barrington, Ash Barton and Tunnels Beaches.
