I say it every year but I really love putting this post together. Its great to be able to stop for a moment and go through everything i’ve shot in the last year, and 2023 did not disappoint.
As usual last year saw me travelling all over the UK, from Scottish castles to Cornish beaches as well as weddings in France and Cyprus.
Its always a struggle to get the number of photos down for this post, and even though I struggled to get them down to 200 I still worry that might be too many..
The problem is that although there are many photos that seem obvious to be included, I’m a firm believer in staying true to yourself, so there are quite a few photos in here that aren’t obvious choices, but they are in here because they mean a lot to me, I know the context in which they were taken and they hold a special memory for me.. Take the last photo for example (if you made it that far), it might just look like a group of people hugging, but its actually two daughters and their parents that I’ve gotten to know through a few weddings over the years, dancing together at the end of the night and it makes me smile just thinking about it.. And that for me is the best thing about weddings. I often say it, but weddings are all about people… And I honestly feel that I get to hang out with the best of them..
Thanks to everyone that invited me to their weddings to behave like a guest, only with questionable facial hair and cameras..
