Gráinne & Steve’s Wedding at the Peasant

Gráinne & Steve’s Wedding at the Peasant.

When Gráinne & Steve got in touch with me about their wedding at the Peasant I was stoked because as well as being an awesome venue to get married (It has the best food ever too… Fact), they seemed like a super cool couple too, and I was right, they are one of the friendliest and most chilled out couples I’ve met, and their wedding day truly reflected this too…

The morning for me started with Gráinne and her bridesmaids, a few of whom had flown over from Ireland for the wedding, and I could tell from the atmosphere when I arrived that it was going to be a fun day. After hair, makeup and a bit of fizz we hopped into a London taxi and headed over to Islington Town hall, where Steve was already waiting, looking super dapper in his brown & blue tweed suit. After the marriage it was back in the cab for a bit of time out, some more fizz and a few stops in Camden, Tower Bridge and Shoreditch for some photos before arriving at The Peasant in Clerkenwell, with a little time to chill out for a while before the wedding breakfast and speeches.

Steve had mentioned during the speeches that he had arranged for some special guests for the evening entertainment, and as Steve works for a very well known media company we were all a little intrigued… With the evenings party well underway, two figures made their way down the stairs, dressed in suits and with instantly recognisable helmets on thier heads, it was only bloody Daft Punk* here to play a dj set…

Gráinne & Steve’s wedding was fun from start to finish, it was an awesomely chilled out day which mostly felt like it was a big group of mates and family having a big knees up at the pub, which was pretty much exactly what it was, It was an absolute pleasure to hang out with and celebrate your wedding day with you guys, thanks you.

(*It may or may not have been the real Daft Punk, I’m not at liberty to say…)
